the Notary Education Certificate of Completion will be invalid and your notary exam results invalidated.

The California Department of Notary has a specific document that they consider essential to notary public education. When you take our
course, the reading material in black lettering is the required course information. The reading material in other colors is optional
but contains discussions, examples, cases, notary quiz question samples, and other useful material.

The California Department of Notary wants each on-line course to measure the length of time that the student is studying. The difficulty
with any on-line class is that once the reading material is on screen, it is impossible to determine if the student is reading, fiddling
with their cell phone, or getting a snack in the kitchen. To solve this problem, NotaryX has divided the reading material into 30
sections. Each section is on a six minute timer. Once you start a section, you cannot leave until you have studied for six minutes.

However, to make sure that you are studying, each section is followed by a one-question quiz. If you answer the question correctly, you
move to the next section. If you answer incorrectly, you must review the section again, although the six minute timer is replaced with
a one minute timer.

You may stop at the end of any section and return later. At the end of each section, you will be given a code on screen. Write that
code on a piece of paper. If you leave and return, you will need to enter the code. If you have a power outage or Internet loss, the
same code can be used to start the course again without having to start at the beginning.
